Why Familes Choose Us
Specialized Care Every provider in our network is trained in perinatal and maternal mental health.
Thoughtful Matching We personally review your form and connect you with a clinician who fits your needs, preferences, and circumstances.
Insurance-Aligned When Possible We prioritize in-network options and provide clear cost information so you can make decisions confidently.
Thoughtful matching — not random listings
We don’t rely on search results or random listings. Our matching process pairs you with providers based on your symptoms, clinical history, cultural preferences, language needs, scheduling constraints, and practical concerns like childcare or telehealth access.
Tell us where you are and what you need.
Insurance-aligned whenever possible
Care shouldn’t be limited by cost. We highlight in‑network options and verify coverage to reduce surprise bills. If in‑network care isn’t available, we provide clear upfront out‑of‑pocket estimates, sliding‑scale options, and financial support resources.
Compassionate, human-centered process
Every step prioritizes dignity, safety, and warmth. Trained facilitators conduct intake and matching with curiosity and respect, centering strengths while acknowledging struggles. We reduce shame and isolation, so help feels accessible, normal, and affirming.
Built by a mom who understands
Fourth Trimester Care Network was created by a mother who lived the confusion, fear, and hope of the postpartum period. That lived experience shaped our priorities: clinical expertise, practical support, and a compassionate process that meets families where they are.
The result: focused, respectful, and practical care that understands this chapter — and helps you find the right clinician to walk through it with you.
How It Works
Complete the Matching Form Tell us where you are in your motherhood journey — whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, parenting an older baby, navigating fertility or pregnancy loss, caring for a toddler, or supporting your mental health after adoption. Share what’s most pressing for you right now, any past or current mental health treatment, your scheduling needs, insurance or budget considerations, and any preferences for therapist gender, background, or therapeutic approach.
We Personally Review Your Needs A team member reviews every submission. We consider your symptoms, history, relationship and family context, cultural background, and practical needs to identify providers with the right training and experience in maternal mental health.
Warm Introduction Within 24–48 Hours Within 24–48 hours, we introduce you to a recommended therapist. The introduction includes a concise summary of your needs and next steps, and we make the initial connection so you can schedule an intake or consultation. If you prefer, we’ll coordinate the first appointment for you.
Ongoing Support if Needed If the first match isn’t quite right, or your needs change, we continue to help. We’ll make additional matches, facilitate transfers between clinicians, and support insurance or administrative questions—so you feel heard, understood, and well matched for the care you deserve.
A Gentle Reassurance
If you're hesitating…
It’s okay to need support.
It’s okay if nothing feels “bad enough.”
It’s okay if you can’t even explain what’s wrong.
You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve care.
Many new mothers minimize their needs or wait until symptoms feel severe. Doubt and hesitation are common—but they don’t mean your feelings aren’t real or important. Seeking help early can prevent things from worsening and make recovery easier.
This space is safe. You won’t be judged for asking for help, for not having clear words, or for wanting support before things feel urgent. Reaching out is a strong, caring step for both you and your baby. If you’re unsure where to start, simple options like talking with a trusted clinician, calling a maternal support line, or scheduling a brief check-in can open the door to the care you deserve.
